BSK Dev:
Nothing - Immortal
The third instalment of 26' for the US production house takes a unique product, brand and everyday technology to examine through an equally unique lens.
Nothing holds a design language that bucks all trend-in-tech and brings together retro tech nostalgia and practically in heightened connection… So we asked ourselves, if in fact, their products were icons in waiting, to be placed on a pedestal, celebrated now and celebrated in the future.
Through two distinct routes we shine a spotlight on the worthiness in a sea of like-for-like devices and visions of what technology looks like. The motion vignettes, sequences and treatments archive, preserve and hero a soon to be iconic product.

1: An icon today. Life in the spotlight.
Blinded by the bright lights that also reflect the brands rapid rise to fame. Inspired partly by flash photography trending in campaigns searching for editorial spontaneity and a sense of authenticity... The volumes turned up on flash and sharp shadow falloffs to claim 'the moment' and a sense of stardom.
Classical tech languages of multiples and reactionary twist or divergence subverted in storytelling.

2. An icon tomorrow. Museum preservation.
A product of todays individualism becomes tomorrows icon reserved for future awe and study.
With an archival level of importance as a future relic, organic take-overs support the device. Past tech preserved for the next generation.
Too significant to disturb, we create an expanse of time in not daring not remove the organic embedded growth, a hard contrast to the deliberate design choices of Nothing.
Motion invites you simply witness and say ‘I saw it’… in an industry where pace and progress reign and yesterday’s products are quickly forgotten.
